Bad Sounds have just dropped the video for their massive new single, ‘Permanent’. The mature indie-pop track comes from their Escaping From A Violent Time Vol1 EP and the brand new video reflects its message perfectly: “It’s primarily about acceptance- learning how to accept your own shortcomings and your own personality. Sometimes I feel like I just mirror the people around me in social situations, and started to worry that I didn’t even really have a personality of my own”. The video is filmed in one unmoving shot, focused on a single character. The tape on his mouth alternates between displaying lyrics from the track, and blank nothingness, with only a brief moment of release during the bridge. The ever-changing colours scheme and bold, striking letters layered across the screen make sure there isn’t a single moment in the entire four minutes that isn’t eye-catching. - Dan Peeke
